Managing Partner & Chief Strategist

Donna is a savvy, IABC-accredited business communicator and certified sustainability and CSR practitioner. She works with global leaders in charting the direction of innovative communication programs. She's a rainmaker and a water sector communication expert. Businesses hire Donna, a sought-after communication strategist, to re-engineer the way they communicate. She's the executive's executive. 

She has served in senior communication roles for UNICEF/Sanitation and Water for All, World Bank Water and Sanitation Program, TerrAfrica, UN, USAID-funded projects, the Architect of the Capitol, and USIA/State Department. She was also Sr. Communication Officer at the UN Economic Commission for Africa Secretariat working for an Undersecretary General. Recently, she was Public Affairs Director/Director of Science Communication at USEPA's Office of Research and Development, where she wrote the multiple award-winning Multi-Year Science Communication Strategy and Brand and Visual Identity Guidelines.

The 2011 recipient of the AWC-DC Matrix Award for professional achievements in global communication and 2011 winner of three IABC Silver Inkwell Awards, Donna was the keynote speaker at the first graduating class of social marketers in Peru, has presented on communication issues at the British Medical Association, and was a US Treasury Department-designated researcher who conducted research in Almaty, Kazakstan for the first redesign of the $100 bill.

Donna is past president of the largest US IABC chapter and has a PhD in Communication. She is a former Rockville Environment Commissioner, is LEED GA trained, and has served as an IABC Gold Quill and PRWeek Awards Judge. She was also a 2010 and 2011 WWPR Woman of the Year of Award finalist.
