Elisa Knebel is an award-winning communication specialist with over 15 years experience in communication strategy, research, training, planning, and content development. She creates technical and marketing materials for domestic and international audiences for nonprofits, governments, and industry.

Elisa is a past deputy director of communication of a large international health project where she managed translators, writers, editors, designers, and multimedia specialists.

She also advises organizations on communication strategy development, and has redesigned communication processes for USAID, World Bank, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others.

Elisa earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas, Austin, and her master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University.

She also speaks French and Spanish. With her expertise in public health and language skills, she has created a diverse array of bilingual materials and messages for doctors, nurses, and health managers.
